The Birchip Hotel public bar is closely tied to the social fabric of the town itself. In the good ole days before mobile phones farmers would come in droves on Friday nights to down a few ice cold beers after a long hot day at work. Indeed many a business deal was done in the pub on a Friday night after a few cold ones.
At the centre of this for nearly twenty years was publican “Titch Tonkin” a mainstay of the Birchip Hotel and the local community.
The Public Bar still the place to go for an ice cold beer on a hot day but has been brought back to life over the past year. The bar has kept pace with changes in demand and proudly offers a range of beers on tap, cider on tap, a diverse range of wines and espresso coffees.
An express TAB facility caters to the punters and you can watch the races and other sports live on our big screen or on 55inch LCD TV’s.
Keep an eye out on our website or facebook page for live music which features regularly at the pub.
So whether you are looking for a great quality country style counter meal with fresh local produce, an ice cold beer or to celebrate some rain, a cut out, or to relax after a ski at the lake, the Birchip Hotel Public Bar makes you welcome.
